  3. Just uploaded this template and fooled with some of the settings to get a satisfactory result.

    Is the template able to process plain text posts? For instance, I want the 'about' category to go to a paragraph of text; as it is, the template tries to load the text into the thumbnail. Any way to change that? And also, it would be nice to have an option to attach some text to the images, like room for a couple of sentences, where the title is.

    Thanks for the template.

  4. Hi,

    This emplate is awesome, but I've three questions:

    1) I want to post more than one image in one post. As you know, there's a limit of 50 posts per day in Blogger, and for photo blogs, one may need to upload alot of photos. Also consider the fact that you create new post for every new photo you want to add. Can you consider this point in the next update?
    2) Can I insert Adsense code below or above the individual images? Is it possible to insert Adsense code anywhere in the template?
    3) I need to make some SEO, is there any space for text?

  5. Hello,
    I love this template, it looks elegant. But I have some problem of how to add more labels in "Categories" section. It's already 4 labels, but when I try to add more by changing the coding, it's not working. Can you help me how to add the code to add more labels under "Categories" section?

    I really need your help. :)
    Thank you!

    I still want to add some actually. Help me, please.
    Thank you!

  7. @Linny : in the picture you sent me ,I notice there are two unnesesary tags </li> and </ul> is added ,so it maybe the reason why your code doesn't work .
    check this picture . I marked unnesesary tags . Delete them and I think your code will work .

  11. Hi! My English is very bad, but I'll try for ask a question! Tell me please, how can I find the picture by "children label"? For example:

    title="" href="http://fxlens.blogspot.com/search/label/nature/Trees">Trees<
    So, what name I have to give for the label, if I want to find all the pictures with label "Trees"! May be only "Trees"? But it doesn't find the pictures in this case! Help me! Waiting for your answer, thank!

  12. Hi, congrats for your work. Simplex Gallery it's working great with "landscape" photos.
    Yet I have some questions..
    What about the "portrait" photos? I'm not using max-width & max-height , just 750x500px.
    What settings can be done so the vertical taken photos will display correctly?
    If you resize the photo to fit the 750x500px , a vertical (portrait) photo will be very small.

    Thank you.

  13. This template is what i.ve been looking for. But why my photos won't appear. I followed all the instructions but still didn't work. It says "error loading image"...why? Please help!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ok, I did some adjustments over there, 438x700px was a little too small and another thing that I've done was to resize all the photos to 500x750px.. it's not a BIG adjustment but it makes a difference on my monitor..
    One other thing, the first photo from the gallery when it is loading, it blinks once and it dissapears. You have to click on the second thumbnail to load a big photo. Can this be fixed?
    Thank You. Keep up the good job you're doing.

    ReplyDelete
  15. @fcm : Glad to know the adjustment works for you .
    On the trouble you mentioned ,could I see your blog for more ? I really don't know what trouble like?

  19. @hasrul hassan : To center image and caption ,you can follow some steps bellow :
    In CSS section ,find
    .caption {.......}
    and replace it with
    .caption{font-style:italic;color:#887;text-align:center;display:block;}

    find #main_image img{........}
    and replace it with

    #main_image img{margin-bottom:10px;max-height:438px;max-width:700px; display: block; margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto; }

  21. Hello.
    First of all, I wanna thank you for this awesome template for Blogger.
    This is my Blog with your template :

    http://mahdi-shadkar.blogspot.com

    I have a problem of image size on screen. I changed the max-height and max-width , and that helped the photos not to be distorted.

    But now, there is another problem, that the photos are displayed in small sizes and in the left side of the screen.
    I ask your help for this.
    Thanks a lot

    ReplyDelete
  22. @mahdi shadkar : in comments above ,I answered hasrul hassan how to center picture and make it sized as you want . You can take a look on it and adjust the code for your need

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks. It works ...
    Now another question.

    The horizontal photos have not the maximum size on the screen. What is the solution ?
    Thanks a lot

    ReplyDelete
  24. @mahdi shadkar : In comments above ,I talked about how to re-size image to any site you want . You can change the maximum size of image as equal as size of your screen .
    it's all about this CSS line :
    #main_image img{....}

    Also, can the font and color of ""Older posts"" and ""Newer posts"" at the bottom be changed?

    Thank you nhamngahanh

  37. This is a very elegant, and beautiful template. Thanks so much for creating it and managing so many questions! I'm playing around with your template and have found it very easy to customize. I have one question:

    Is it possible for me to insert a small .png file at the top before the title of the blog?

    I am an illustrator and am using this blog to showcase my work. I use a small swirly symbol as my name and would love to put it in the title. I can't seem to figure out how to code the IMG SRC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and I'll be looking for more of your work in the future!

    here is the code of header left :
    <div class='headerleft'>
    <div class='headertext'>
    ............
    </div>
    </div>
    you can add your own logo by adding an img tag right after <div class='headertext'> . Like this :
    <div class='headerleft'>
    <div class='headertext'>
    <img src="your image url" title="..." width="" height="" />
    ............
    </div>
    </div>

  46. Greeting,

    I've change few things based on your instruction which I get from all of your answers. I changed the max-height, max-width and centered the image. At first its going fine. However, once I add 6 more pictures after all the changes I've made, the new 6 pics appeared to be small (mainly landscape photos). How can that be? could you please help me to sort this. I've tried many times to find what's wrong with it. Please visit http://whenpicturestalk.blogspot.com and see the different. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  47. @whenpicturestalk : to add caption for picture ,you just add title attribute for img tag .
    In your blog ,I see this is not problem with template ,it's the trouble when you upload image in blogspot editor ,it will automatic resize image to 3 size : large,medium or small . Just try again with another host .

  55. I love this template and very much want it to work for my photo blog. But I am having the following problems:

    1. On two of my posts I have deleted the unnecessary tags and such as you said we should for individual photos. Now instead of showing the pictures it is showing the text.
    2. The thumbnails are showing blownup versions of the images instead of smaller previews.
    3. I am also pulling up error downloads for some of the images.

    You can check out my blog here: mmh-photography-portfolio.blogspot.com. Any suggestions to these issues would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  56. Also, I have changed the height and width maximum but when I go to reload pictures as I don't want these huge images that the viewer has to scroll over to see, I get error loads shown instead of images.

  62. I'm experimenting with this wonderful template by customizing it for my special needs. I wanted to create a "Random homepage" script where each time someone visits or refreshes the page, a random page would load or in this template's case, show a different image on the front page.
    The standard randomizer script I used seemed to work when you refresh for a split second then it goes strait to the default page. Sometimes it even shows the url of the random page in the address bar but only displace a blank image. How can I achieve this with your template?

    Thanks

  64. I was thinking about a way to allow comments. I know you can get to the external comment page as long as you have the blog id and post id. I'm wondering if you know if you are able to get the post id of the current image being displayed? Then you could at least add a link somewhere to go to the comments for that image.

    I do agree though that integrating them right into the page would be very difficult.

    Also, did you get the search function to work? Mine doesn't seem to be working. http://passengerpix.blogspot.com

    And finally, is there an easier way to create a new post or sign in (like clicking on the new post link as shown on the standard blogger header) rather than having to go to the dashboard from another one of my blogs to access this one?

  107. How do I make it so the captions for the pictures are at the top center of the pics and not the bottom? The captions always end up on top of the thumbnails and is hard to read. If I could put it centered above the photo, that would really help. I've put the caption on the bottom centered, left and then right and they all end up on top of the thumbnails. This is only for pictures in Portrait and not Landscape. The pictures displayed in landscape format work fine at left, right and center because they are not directly above the thumbnails like the Portrait photos.

    This template is fantastic by the way! Thank you!

  108. Hi!

    Sorry, my english is bad, I hope you'll understand me.
    Thanks for this amazing temple. It's very nice and looks so clear-out, what I need.
    I read everything above but I didn't find answer to my problem or I did something wrong.
    When I click on the first picture that doesn't disappear and the next picture doesn't come replace it.
    Can you tell me, please, what can I do to fix this?

  111. @Angi : Your question is asked by many peoples . The problem is only happen to Chrome ,my friend .If you browsing with IE or FireFox,nothing's wrong . I can't find out why Chrome has this problem ,so I still waiting for help from others .
    @nizam.Osman : I think your issue can be solved . The idea is very simple ,instead of read posts from Blogger ,we add a script to read and parse image feed from Picasa and show it with this template . There are many script can got image feed from Flickr and I think Picasa can do the same. But it's only the idea . I need time to make it comes true .Thanks you for suggestion

  116. Hi nhamngahanh,

    Thank to to share your awesome & simple template, I'm trying to apply the template for my photoworks.
    As u can check on my blog:
    http://p-graphy.blogspot.com/#http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_GaxEOKaBmqU/TClmOuuYXeI/AAAAAAAAApQ/cFui9D49Qik/s1600/orchid+macro.jpg

    I found difficulties to put title bellow my photo, and the thumbmail bellow main photo is too stretchy as i want it fit to the box.

    And secondly; how to post photos in each label?
    Third; I want to change "portfolio" menu to "Contact" and put my contact details.

    I guess that's all for now, as I'm newbie in HTML code and quite stressing me as I really want to have my own photofolio, and i guess the template you created is more simple for my photo works. really appreciated and thanks.

    Regards,
    Poni

  117. Dear nhamngahanh,
    First of all many many thanks for your great work.
    I read all comments and fix everything i can, but still one more problem: the favicon. I tried all ways, but it always disappear a few seconds after!!!

    Another thing, i also would like to take out the navigation links, those blue ones. I can manage with the labels i guess.

    Thanks again, best!

    What about my other question about taking out the nav links?

    Thanks!

  120. Sorry for having deleted the last post. I was saying that I couldn't put an image as a background and I found the way how to do it so.
    But now I have a new problem. The template works at perfection, but I uploaded a vertical photo and it exceeds and cover the list of all the photos uploaded. What can I do?

  124. Your template is just great. I have read all the comments and I looked at the blogs where they use this template and nobody has been able to change the Favicon. Even in the demo.
    Is there a solution? The normal codes have failed.
    Thanks for all your work.

  127. Please, I need indicate me how to classify the photos or how to raise them in the blog in every category: Arts, Human etc. I do not find where to solve it.
    In Blogger does not it give me the option to raise them already each one in his site? And if it is like that ... how is it done?
    I have the menu with every name and the photos with his corresponding label but then, they appear all together, without classifying and if clickeo in Human (for example) it turns out to be empty, in black.
    How is it done?
    Thank you!! Magnificent template :D

    Por favor, necesito me indique cómo clasificar las fotos o cómo subirlas en el blog en cada categoria: Arts, Human etc. No encuentro dónde resolverlo.

    Espero haberme sabido explicar.
    Saludos.
